Jinyoung’s Real Sister Watching Brother’s Kissing Scene with Park Bo-young: They Even Have the Same Name?!

In a wrap-up interview held on July 1 at BH Entertainment in Seoul, Jinyoung, who played attorney Lee Ho-soo, opened up about the quirky coincidence that recently caught public attention. His sister, also named Park Bo-young, became an unexpected talking point during the drama Our Unwritten Seoul‘s press coverage.
“She’s warm and kind, similar to the character ‘Future (Mirae)’ in the drama,” Jinyoung said. “She doesn’t talk much about the show, but she shows interest. She’ll say something like, ‘This drama is fun,’ and for her, that means a lot.”

When asked if his real sister commented on the kissing scene with the other Park Bo-young, Jinyoung laughed: “She didn’t really say anything specific. And I don’t think she talked much about ‘Bo-young’ kissing ‘Bo-young,'” he joked, referencing the name overlap.
His GOT7 bandmates were more vocal. “They sent me a lot of messages saying it was fun,” he said. “Whenever there were soft or romantic scenes, they’d tease me with things like, ‘Nice business performance.’ I think they’ve really enjoyed both the drama and my recent film work.”

Our Unwritten Seoul, which aired its final episode on June 29, followed the story of identical twin sisters who secretly swap lives to overcome personal traumas. It concluded with solid viewership ratings—8.4% nationwide and 9% in the Seoul metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea.
With a charming performance and a layered character, Jinyoung’s return to the screen post-military service was a hit—and his sister’s quiet but humorous support might just be the sweetest behind-the-scenes story yet.
